Minister to give talk at breakfast meeting
MINISTER for Environment and Heritage Protection Andrew Powell will give a talk in Gympie tomorrow morning.
The minister has been invited to Gympie by local member David Gibson to talk on the Queensland Plan.
On May 10 more than 400 Queenslanders gathered in Mackay to develop a 30-year vision for the state, which would reflect the views of all of us on the key issues, challenges and opportunities, as well as Queenslanders' aspirations for the future.
Mr Gibson said the Gympie First Forum breakfast would provide an opportunity for Gympie's business and civic leaders to hear more about the Queensland Plan.
The forum is being held tomorrow at 7am for a 7.30am start.
It will include breakfast and it is being held at the Orchid Room at the Gympie RSL.
There is also a space at the Gympie Library for residents who don't have computers to have their say.
Mr Gibson said it was a great opportunity for residents to have input into the future of the state.
Mr Gibson is also hoping to have a good crowd at tomorrow's breakfast.
The breakfast will cost $17.50 for Chamber of Commerce members and $20 for non-members. There are a limited number of seats available so please book early.
Bookings can be made online at http://www.trybooking.com/DANG.
