Mill on target for November crush finish
AS AT OCTOBER 9, Maryborough Sugar Factory had crushed 429,229 tonnes of cane at a CCS of 14.24.
Last week, the mill crushed 42,827 tonnes at a CCS of 15.19.
Highest CCS for the week was 17.70 from a block of Q138 R3 from the Bauple/Tiaro district.
Performance of major varieties for the week was as follows:
- Q138: 14.77, 14.61% of supply;
- Q208: 15.51, 46.73% of supply;
- Q232: 15.28, 11.27% of supply;
- Q242: 15.66, 2.97% of supply.
The mill shut down for two days on the Labour Day long weekend and resumed crushing on Tuesday morning.
The Maryborough Sugar Factory mill is on target to complete the crushing by the first week of November.
