Muster's Marylou will be missed

FORMER entertainment co-ordinator for the Optus Muster, Marylou Goodall, passed away in Redcliffe Hospital on Tuesday morning after a long illness.

Her first involvement with the Muster was in 1985 when she and her late husband Chris hired huge circus tents for the event. They continued to do this for many years.

At the same time, both were heavily involved as volunteers on site.

Marylou had worked for Sunshine Connections as part of the management team for many years up until 2010.

She developed a strong working relationship and friendships with many of Australia’s entertainment personalities. In recent weeks, many of these same people contacted and visited her in her hour of need.

Also in her role at the Muster office, Marylou was involved in the communication between the office and many of the region’s community groups who rely so heavily on the event for ongoing funding. Her energetic nature and personality motivated all involved with the event, adding to its ongoing success.

Marylou is survived by her son, Adam.

Her funeral will be held at the Great Northern Garden of Remembrance Chapel, Tallowwood Dve, Deception Bay, 10am tomorrow.
