Stags to play Yandina

SILLY errors ultimately cost the Mary Valley Stags in their loss to Caboolture last weekend.

The Mary Valley outfit returned a score line of 30-20 despite showing a glimpse of a fight back late in the second half.

Stags spokesperson Jenny Carlson said the errors took their toll.

“The Stags made hard work of their game against Caboolture last week,” she said.

“A dropped ball and the odd penalty in (our) own half made all the difference to the game.”

Compounding the errors was the absence of team kicker Troy Carlson, replaced by Mick Evans.

Troy’s absence meant a reshuffle of the team, unsettling players.

The Stags play Yandina away today at 3.30pm. A bus leaves the Imbil Railway Hotel at 1pm for players and supporters.
