World-famous band performs undercover

MAROON 5 has gone undercover and surprised fans by performing a gig in an underground New York subway.

Pulling on wigs, hats and cardigans, Adam Levine and guitarist James Valentine were joined by talk show host Jimmy Fallon for the segment on the comedian's late-night program.

The boys jammed out an acoustic version of the band's hit Sugar and Queen's 1979 tune Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

While most commuters ignored the band and walked by during the early moments of the performance, onlookers eventually recognised Levine's famous vocals and a crowd swarmed around them.
