Toowoomba man killed after hit by ute

UPDATE: A 29-YEAR-OLD Kearney Springs man has died after a traffic incident in Wellcamp overnight.

Investigations indicate the man was walking along Toowoomba-Cecil Plains Road just after midnight when he was struck by a utility.

He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital with serious injuries, but has since died.

The driver of the utility, a 37-year-old Murarrie man, was not injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

YESTERDAY: A 29-year-old man has been seriously injured overnight after being hit by a ute on the Toowoomba Cecil Plains Rd.

Emergency services were called to the Wellcamp scene just before midnight.

Police said the Kearneys Spring man was walking along Toowoomba Cecil Plains Rd when he was struck by the ute.

He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital with serious injuries.

The 37-year-old ute driver, from Brisbane, was not injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
