Man saved from burning house in Buderim

NEIGHBOURS rescued an elderly man from his burning home in Buderim in the early hours of this morning.

The Palmyra Cres house ignited at about 1am, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said.

The man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

The site of the fire was being guarded by police until a fire examiner arrived.

Police are not treating the fire as suspicious.

Traffic on Palmyra Cres and nearby Wises Rd is flowing freely.
