Man jailed for sexual assault on Sunlander
COLIN Leslie Scott has been jailed for three and a half years for a sexual assault against a woman on the Sunlander train.
It was his third sexual offence.
On October 28 last year he digitally raped a woman, who was travelling from Brisbane to Townsville.
Scott got on the train at Rockhampton and sat next to a woman, who had taken two valium for back pain, the District Court in Mackay heard today.
She went to sleep and woke up to Scott sexually assaulting her somewhere between Rockhampton and Mackay, where he was arrested.
He pleaded guilty to one count of rape.
His sentence will be suspended after he has served 14 months.
However, Scott has already spent 332 days in pre-sentence custody, which was declared as time served.
