Man in hospital after dune fall

A YOUNG man has been taken to Gympie Hospital after fracturing his wrist in a fall at Rainbow Beach.

A Community Safety Media spokeswoman said the man, 25, suffered a fractured wrist and cut feet after falling about 5m.

It appeared he had fallen down the face of one of the steep sand dunes along the beach between Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point.
