Man flees after allegedly robbing supermarket at gunpoint

A CABOOLTURE South supermarket was robbed at gunpoint last night.

Police say a man entered the shop, picked up some items to buy and approached the express checkout section where he produced what appeared to be a handgun.

He allegedly requested cash from the 16-year-old female console operator before making threats with the gun and demanding money.

She complied and the man fled through the main entrance with the money.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance with a medium build and brown hair, and was wearing a white hoodie with black spots, black shirt with writing on the front, dark pants and orange round sunglasses.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Anyone who may have seen the man is urged to contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
