Man charged over death of Kingaroy man Shaun Miles
KINGAROY detectives have formally charged Paul Sutton with the manslaughter of Kingaroy man Shaun Miles.
The detectives spoke to the 41-year-old NSW man at the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning before they charged him over the May 24 death.
Kingaroy police Officer in Charge Senior Sergeant Duane Frank said Mr Miles and Sutton were involved in an altercation which an autopsy proved contributed to the man's death.
"The police have possession of CCTV footage which shows the two men involved in an altercation at the Club Hotel," Snr Sgt Frank said.
"The police will also use the pathology results from an expert medical practitioner as evidence."
Snr Sgt Frank said the police investigation received a large volume of witness statements and versions of the people involved in the incident.
Sutton was granted bail and allowed to return to Sydney.
He will reappear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on November 25.
