Man charged over copper wire theft

A 23-YEAR-old Nambour man has been charged after a number of break-and-enter offences at a Maroochydore building site over the past few months.

It was alleged the man broke into the site at the corner of Maroochy Blvd and Plaza Pde on several occasions and stole copper wire.

Police executed a search warrant on a Burnside address on May 22 and located the man.

He was charged with five counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, and six counts of fraud.

The man is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 20.
