Man attacked with machete on Coast street

A MAN has been attacked with a machete in a suburban Sunshine Coast street this morning.

Police and ambulance officers were called to Carlton Ave, Moffat Beach after a woman rang police and told them a man had come to her house and attacked another man with a machete just before 8am.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the man only received minor injuries and did not require transport to hospital and a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed no one was transported from the scene.

The man was treated on the scene for a small cut to his chest and the police spokesman said no formal complaint had been lodged by the victim after the incident.
