A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after crashing his motorbike into a tree on the Sunshine Coast.

The man, in his 20s, suffered a broken leg and suspected chest injuries after he crashed into a tree while riding off-road on a private property in Bracalba.

Emergency services said this is the third motorcyclist in only 24 hours that was airlifted to hospital in South East Queensland.

Paramedics were first on the scene, and were met by the rescue chopper just after 1pm yesterday.

He was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
