Little Haven Palliative Care’s Happy Marketeers are looking forward to the opening of the Little Haven Shop next week.

Little Haven shop opens on Monday

ALTHOUGH the happy group of Little Haven Palliative Care volunteers known affectionately as “The Marketeers” make opening another Little Haven Shop look as easy as 1, 2, 3, a lot of hard work has gone on before the shop opens its doors on Monday.

Donations for sale are sorted, cleaned and refurbished with loving care by Little Haven's craftspeople while the group's bakers and cooks stock up on their delicious variety of Little Haven jams, preserves, pickles and baked goods.

Little Haven's gardeners harvest the best of their crop to offer for sale, all to help raise much needed funds to support Little Haven continue its vital work caring for the Cooloola community.

The Little Haven shop exists through the big hearts of so many friends, supporters and volunteers of Little Haven who generously donate the goods for sale, or who bake, cook, pot, knit, craft and then freely give their time to work in the shop.

The Little Haven shop is well-known for then giving back to the community that has so wholeheartedly helped the group, by keeping the shop prices down as low as possible and offering as wide a range as possible of top quality plants, fruit and vegetables, baking, preserves, clothes, craft, books, bric-a-brac and more.

The Little Haven shop itself is donated for three weeks thanks to the generosity of owner Shahid Khan and will open from the August 2-21 from 8.30am-4pm weekdays and 8.30-11.30am Saturdays.

If you'd like to donate goods for sale, please call the Little Haven office on 5482 9091.
