AFTER several months of vigorous campaigning the day the nation decides has almost arrived.

It is compulsory for an Australian Citizen over 18 to vote.

There are no polling places on Fraser Island on election day.

Residents and visitors are able to vote early at the pre-polling booths on Friday.
