Lions club helps kids learn

TIN Can Bay P-10 State School leaders were presented with a cheque from the Tin Can Bay Lions Club on Tuesday.

The funds will be used at Tin Can Bay to help support families in the community to engage their children in a wide spectrum of learning opportunities during 2012.

Tin Can Bay Lions Club spokesman Betsy Quince said the club has made a commitment to the school and was passionate about supporting local families in any way it could.

She said this was the first of four cheques that will be handed to the school to help the future engagement of all students in the Tin Can/Cooloola area.
