It will be bowls at 10.30am then lunch.

WE HAD around 50 players last Sunday at Albert Club enjoying a beautiful day on the greens.

However, there can only be one winner on the day and that was the team of

R.Harding, R.Benson and O.Miles (The Big O).

Runners-up Toby Long, Peter Bannister and Wayne Hockey and last round winners Mike Godwin, Neil Groundwater and Nev Bermo.

Incidentally the winners were the only team with 2 wins.

Don't forget our last game for the year is on December 18 which is bowls in the morning with a 10am turn up for a 10.30 start with drinks and lunch from 12.30pm

Those not playing are most welcome to attend lunch and drinks.

The Open Consistency Singles; J. Jacobson defeated C.Stancombe. Novice Consistency Singles: P. Sibley defeated R.Stephan.

Tuesday Our Last Trophy Day for the year was a great Day enjoyed by all and the winners are: Spiders: P. Shurety, D. Long, R. Stephan and N. Gilchrest. The fours:

B. Dan, L. Locker, R. Richards and G. Morley runners up were: V. Robertson, R. Benson, K. Gerrick and J. Erle and the raffle was won by L. Rackerman .

Cooloola Coast

TUESDAY, November 8 was the Club's Jackpot Pairs.

Winners were S. Ramsay and Barry Richardson, R/up Steve Baxter and Phil Parry.

Thursday, November 10 Ladies social winners were Ruth Steinscherer and Shyam Tripathi with the highest winning score.

Sunday, November 13 Hot weather kept our bowlers in the club house.

Tuesday, November 15 saw the club's jackpot pairs played with the winners being Ian Toll and Shyam Tripathi.

The jackpot was not won on that day.

Thursday, November 17 Ladies social day had teams playing away at other clubs official day.

Bowlers present had a social roll-up.

Super Saturday November 19 winners on that day I&M Toll R/up B. Ricardson and K.McKean.

Mystery prize was won by P. Barnett and S. Baxter.

Sunday, November 20 Ladies social day winners with the highest score were R. Steinscherer (again) J. Heidemann and Lesley Shaw.

Bowlers take note that until further notice all Men's and Ladies games will start at 1.30pm.

The two sponsored days to be held to finish the year are volunteers day November 4 and Gary and Irene Carless day November 11.

Please note these games will start at 1pm.


TODAY, it will be your chance to win a club voucher and a good excuse to spend some time at the bar.

There is a great day lined up for us next Thursday, as it will be December 1 we have the usual Jackpot-Pairs and we will also be competing for the Chapple Shield.

The family of the late Nev Chapple is sponsoring this event once again and we thank them very sincerely for their support.

After bowls, at around 1pm we will get down to some serious business, it will be time for the Men's Club AGM.

John Allen had good reason to thank McIntosh Meats for their sponsored mixed pairs last Thursday when he and partner Bill Wheeler teamed up to win, by 35 to 8 a voucher each, the runners-up were Col Williams, Roy Patroni and Fred Gruber, then John's raffle number was pulled out of a hat to win him a second voucher.

Handicap pairs last Saturday saw Andrew and Owen defeat Lindsay and Tom, Andrew and Owen will now face Cristian and Peter in the final early this Saturday.

Thursday 15th December is the day set for our Christmas break-up party.

Bowls start at 3:30 pm and play until 5:30 pm. Dinner at 6:00 pm then the presentation of all clubs 2016 champions. All members, family. and friends are invited, names on the board early for catering.

The Championship board has been cleared and is waiting for your name to be entered in next years competitions.

At Gympie Bowls on Tuesday night the raffle was donated by B Pearce & won by K Mckeough, high scores were D Tierney 50, A Goldsworthy & B Mcguinness 38, C Pearce 50,W Young 41, P Tierney 37.

At Suburbs social on Saturday A Goldsworthy was in the winning team & M Day was in the runner up team.

Gympie Break up dinner is on the 13th of December. Regards P Kerr, Secretary.


WE HAD a good roll up at our social on Saturday. 1st Audrey, Peter and Gail. 2nd Joyce P, Janette Ryan and Merv. 3rd Lexie, Marilyn, Gaye and Jenny. Thr raffle went to Roy and Sylvia.

On Monday we had 16 players and lowest score took home the goodies. Congratulations Joyce P on 27 and Kerryn on 36. High score went to Hester and John both on 47.

Suburbs AGM 28th November 1pm start.


OUR next game is our Christmas Party day November 27. Game of mixed triples at 10am. Following 2 hours of bowls we will have lunch then party.

We will have a visit from Tansey, Goomeri & Kilkivan on this day also.
