'Large oil spill' in suburban CQ street

QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Service were at the scene of an oil spill in Park Avenue this morning.

They were called to Knight St and Moores Creek Rd at about 6.45am after a 'large oil spill' was reported.

A spokesperson said when the crew arrived on scene no action was required from them.

There are no details on how the spill occurred.

QFES has said they left the spill in the hands of the Rockhampton Regional Council.
