Ladies in fine form, claim honours

IT was ladies’ day last Saturday when Kerry Gallagher and Stella Macklin proved too good for the male dominated field to win the 4BBB Medley Stableford event.

Kerry and Stella carded 52 points to score a narrow one-point victory over runners Michael James and Barry Allen.

Although the winners both carded good individual scores, Kerry was full of praise for her team-mate who had her best ever “off the stick score” with a round of 87.

“Stella had a ‘stellar’ day, although we did combine well,” said Kerry.

“When one of us stuffed up, the other came good,” she smiled.
