Kybong crash victims lucky to be alive

EMERGENCY services went into overdrive after a head-on collision between two cars at Kybong yesterday.

Four patients, including an elderly male and three men in their 20s, were transported to Gympie Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the accident, which happened at 4.17pm, was of great concern because it was a "fairly high mechanism head-on".

"These men are lucky to still be alive," she said.
