Kristy-lee Cox looks for love in reality television show

LOVE could be on the cards for Kristy-lee Cox if she makes it on to hit reality television show Beauty and the Geek Australia.

"Anything can happen once you get on there," Kristy-lee admitted to The Morning Bulletin yesterday.

The Rockhampton promotional model and Central Queensland Capras cheerleader sent off her application for the Channel 7 program recently.

And now, she waits.

But Kristy-lee isn't sweating it.

"I applied last year," she said.

"I got through to the audition stage and got a call back.

"This year I know what to expect and I think that gives me a bit of a leg-up."

Kristy-lee isn't the only Rockhampton girl to have a crack at making it on the show.

Local promotional model Ashleigh McAuliffe has also applied.

Kristy-lee said she thought it was great more girls from the region were giving it a go.

"I've watched the show ever since it started and I just love it," she said.

"It's so funny and entertaining and I love entertaining people. You go on there for the experience and to get out of your comfort zone."

Kristy-lee said she hoped the show could open new doorways for her career as a television personality or model.

Applications for the show close March 3.
