Knife and bar used in related robberies

A MAN has used a knife to rob a convenience store on Brisbane's north side.

Police say the man held up the store on Monday, October 24. 

He entered the store on Gympie Road in Chermside and threatened a male staff member with the knife.

The staff member complied and the man allegedly fled with a sum of money.

Police say the man is also behind a robbery on October 26 where he entered a newsagency with a metal bar a threatened another male staff member before demanding cash. 

The staff member also complied and the attacker fled with a sum of money.

No one was physically injured in either incident. 

A 27-year-old Bracken Ridge man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
