Kirsten on fire in pool

TIN Can Bay Crocs' Kirsten Kenney has been achieving some great results of late.

The 13-year-old has picked up a medal at every meet she has competed in and won many age championships.

At the Gympie Gold Rush carnival she won three golds, a bronze and won the age championship.

She also competed in the open Dash for Cash and was fourth.

At Pelican Waters she also performed well, winning two golds and a bronze and was again named age champion.

On February 4 and 5 Kenney and her Tin Can Bay clubmates went to the State Sprints in Brisbane.

She was placed seventh in the final of the 50m butterfly with a personal best time of 30.80s.

The butterfly was one of seven events for Kirsten on the day. She contested the open events as well as her age-group events: 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke and 50 backstroke, placing well in each of her age-group events.
