C&K still has vacancies

THERE are still vacancies available for the new C&K kindergarten co-located at Gympie South State School, which opened today.

While kindergarten director Melanie Fitzgibbon expects the service to fill up quickly after the kindergartens started, there are still vacancies available to start for children who will turn four years of age by June 30 this year.

"It is very exciting to be part of the first group in a brand new kindergarten with great resources and a landscape designed especially to encourage play-based learning," Melanie said.

The new kindergarten will offer families C&K's Building Waterfalls early learning guideline, Queensland's first independent early childhood curriculum approved by the Queensland Studies Authority.

The new C&K Gympie South Kindergarten is on the grounds of Gympie South State School next to the swimming pool.

Kindergarten director Melanie Fitzgibbon is a Gympie local and has a Bachelor in Education (Early Education) while Melanie's assistant Kelly, has her Certificate III in Children's Services.

To enrol your child, or place their name on a waiting list call 1300 324 359 or go to http://www.candk.asn.au.

Alternatively, please drop into the kindergarten and speak to Melanie.
