Ken Gailer exhibition a must see

KEN Gailer’s “fascinating” new work will be available for viewing at Lasting Impressions Gallery in Kenilworth from Sunday, October 17.

A much anticipated event, art lovers can expect to be delighted with a display of colour, images and patterns inspired by the image-laden work of Ken’s favourites, Robert Rauschenberg and Raymond Saunders.

An artist of longstanding reputation, Ken has shown his work in numerous exhibitions throughout Australia and is currently represented by leading galleries here and in Singapore.

He has embarked on a new period in his painting career with a style that speaks immediately to the viewer’s emotions without demanding intellectual analysis.

Lasting Impression’s director Kaye Cathro said it was a privilege to count Ken amongst the gallery’s stable of artists.

“We have represented him for many years in Queensland and I am thrilled with the direction of his new work,” she said.

Ken, a long-time resident of Gympie, said his art evolved on the canvas as the work progressed.

“I am always fascinated to see what will happen as I create a piece,” he said of his new approach.

The exhibition will be showing from October 17 to November 7.

A pre-view of the work is available on www.lastingimpressionsgallery.net.
