Kelsie won't voice any complaints

ONLY a few weeks ago, Kelsie Rimmer could walk around the Coast with anonymity.

Now The Voice contestant is stopped constantly by fans wanting a chat and an autograph.

But for the 20-year-old Palmwoods girl, it is a small price to pay for national exposure.

The songstress is getting used to being in the public eye.

She decided to try out a few new looks for her new-found fame at a photo-shoot at Studio Republic.

The singer-songwriter, who is as individual as she is talented, said dressing up was a way of letting her character shine.

Director of Studio Republic in Warana, Traci Castle, said the shoot went for "an indie/vintage/quirky style". Kelsie said it had been "an amazing, hectic, overwhelming and surreal experience" on The Voice.

"I never imagined The Voice would be so huge," she said.

"This is the biggest thing to happen to me in my career. No matter what happens in The Voice, there will be no negative outcome."

Kelsie, who is on Team Keith (Urban), said her mentor was inspirational.

"He said to us, 'be yourself, make sure you stay true to who you are and never stop being you'," she said.

"He is a really nice person and he treats you as an equal, not as a contestant."

Kelsie will sing in the final battle round episode next Monday night, along with fellow Coast contestant Darren Percival.

Her blind audition song, a rendition of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, reached 28 on the iTunes Top 40.
