Katsidis weeps for lost brother

AS HE pounded away at a remote training camp in Thailand, his brother Stathi was never far from Michael Katsidis' thoughts.

Champion jockey Stathi Katsidis died in his sleep at his Brisbane home on October 19 a little over a month before Michael was due to face Mexican boxing great Juan Manuel Marquez in a lightweight world boxing showdown in Las Vegas.

Courageously, Katsidis chose to continue with the fight and remain in Thailand to prepare, skipping his brother's funeral.

He has shunned the limelight and refused to publicly speak about the death of his brother, who he considered his best mate and spoke to every day.

But after losing his world title battle on Sunday, Katsidis opened up for the first time to Finda.
