Juniors set for big day of league

GYMPIE Junior Rugby League publicity officer Celine Jackson says today’s bumper program of league at Albert Park is as big a day for the juniors as it is for the seniors.

“We have a number of juniors involved which is very exciting,” she said.

The first match of the day at 8.30am will be between a Gympie under-14 side and Caloundra, to be refereed by local talent Jake Harney.

Harney will then back up immediately after to play an under-18 match.

Meanwhile, sister Olivia will be refereeing the under-7 match during the half time interval of the City and Country main event, being televised live on ABC TV.
