Junior rugby league club to change its liquor licence hours

GYMPIE Regional Council is expected to support changed liquor trading hours on Saturdays at the Gympie junior rugby league clubhouse in Smith Rd at the Monkland.

The club's Saturday liquor licence at the moment is for night time operation (5pm until midnight) and the
proposal to change to daytime operation (10am to 5pm) on Saturdays
is considered acceptable, council staff have noted in a report on the matter.
"The subject property does adjoin a number of dwelling houses. A
search of council's database has revealed only one noise complaint
had been lodged against the existing use of the property in 2003. This
was identified as an isolated incident and was resolved quickly. No
further issues have been raised."

Gympie Regional Council is expected to advise the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation
and Liquor Licensing consultants acting for the club that it
does not have any objection to the requested change to existing
trading hours for the Gympie Junior Rugby League Club Inc. at
Smith Road, Monkland.
