Three generations of Debutante

JUDITH Kaiser has beautiful memories of her debut at Brisbane’s Cloudland in 1958.

And she hopes her grand-daughter Sarah Drescher (left) will enjoy her special occasion at this month’s St Patrick’s 80th Anniversary Presentation Ball.

Sarah’s presentation will make it three generations of women in her family to make their “debut”, although now being inclusive of young men, it’s called a “presentation”.

“It’s just as important for the boys as the girls these days,” Sarah’s mum Karen pointed out.

For Judith the night is about “making memories”.

“It was a special night,” she said. “You got glammed up and you made wonderful memories.”

St Patrick’s College student Sarah said continuing the family tradition was important and meaningful for her and she was looking forward to the experience.

The public is invited to head along and enjoy the occasion on Friday, June 25 at the Pavilion, Gympie Showgrounds. Tickets $55 per head, available from LJ Hooker, by Tuesday, June 22.
