Electronics store Joyce Mayne is closing down

JOYCE Mayne Mackay is closing its doors.

The electronics store is in the midst of a closing down sale and will be shutting mid-April.

Mackay Chamber of Commerce president Tim Miles said it was a difficult trading economy at the moment.

PALEO CAFE: Opens to the Mackay public

"We're now into our third year of a change in local economic conditions and behaviours have definitely changed," he said.

"But in these changing times, businesses change. Businesses shut down and new businesses open... it just happens to be happening more frequently at the moment.

"We saw the Paleo Cafe open last week in the city centre and we saw Joyce Mayne shutting down."

Joyce Mayne Mackay management and Joyce Mayne head office representatives were contacted yesterday but both declined to comment.
