Jason makes it home at last

RAINBOW Beach shooting victim Jason Montgomery made it home, or at least to Brisbane, yesterday – after being almost killed in an unprovoked shooting in Guyana two months ago.

It’s been a long road home for the young man who was visiting the troubled South American nation in his role as an industrial cleaning products representative.

His risky flight home began with a dangerous medical evacuation from Guyana to Trinidad and then to London, where he has been treated for infections and bad clotting on his lungs and legs.

His mother, Sandy Brosnan, was at Brisbane airport to welcome him home at 6.40am yesterday and sat with him at Royal Brisbane Hospital yesterday.
