Iran has discovered new uranium deposits

IRAN has discovered new uranium deposits, which will fuel the expansion of its nuclear program.

The BBC reports authorities said the find would treble the size of already known uranium deposits.

Following long running investigations, the Middle Eastern country has identified 16 new sites as suitable for nuclear power plant construction.

Iran is banned from importing nuclear material under United Nations' sanctions.
