FAREWELL MY DARLING: Tara Janssen kisses her stillborn daughter, Chelsea, goodbye after she died just minutes before birth on Valentine’s Day, 2014. Heartfelt

Inspiring Love: Saying goodbye to a beautiful baby

WEST Ipswich mum Tara Janssen was under close medical watch for her baby's birth on Valentine's Day, 2014, at Ipswich Hospital.

When she had arrived at the hospital, medical staff immediately noted her baby's heartbeat was slow and weak.

They later observed it getting even weaker and acted quickly to rush her from the maternity ward to the operating theatre for an emergency caesarean.

It took just 10 minutes, but unfortunately in that time baby Chelsea's little heart gave out and she died.

Tara revealed the heartbreak of that day in a poignant post she made on the QT website this week. Her message was in response to us asking readers to tell us who inspired them.

As part of her post, she attached the heartbreaking photo featured on this page.

You're actually looking at a picture of a dead baby, but Tara had no issues in sharing the photo and telling us the reasons why.

It is truly inspirational, and it should confront our preconceptions of how we think about what inspires us.

Her words reveal why she had no issues with allowing us to run it on the front page of the QT weekend edition.

"My daughter Chelsea inspires me.

She may have never taken a breath but she has shown me how short and precious life really is.

She inspires me to live every day to the fullest and to enjoy my family while I still have them.

My baby girl born Sleeping Valentine's Day 2014 at Ipswich General Hospital. 3lbs 0.6oz 42cm long."
