House crash driver blows 0.146%

A MAN, 39, who crashed his car into a Hughes Tce house in the early hours of Boxing Day pleaded guilty to driving with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.146% when he appeared in Gympie Magistrates Court yesterday.

Rodney Keith Crittendell, of Caledonian Hill, recorded a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.146% after being located by police at 12.30am.

The court was told police found a Give Way sign knocked over and a car crashed into the side of a house, near the southbound access ramps of the Bruce Hwy, near the Normanby Bridge.

Crittendell was disqualified from driving for the duration of 12 months probation.

In other drink driving matters before the court, two men and a woman were fined $1000 each after pleading guilty to the charges against them.

Elaine Finney, 49, of Ian Dve, Curra, was disqualified for nine months for driving in Exhibition Rd, Southside on December 9 with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.139%.

Brent Michael Schultz, 20, of Power Rd, Southside, and Raymond Edward Kurz, 48, of Grindstone St, East Nanango, were each disqualified for six months.

The court was told Schultz recorded a BAC of 0.187% on December 22.

Kurz blew 0.16% on December 16.
