Hot water burns a 9-month-old girl

PARAMEDICS have taken a 9-month- old girl to hospital after receiving burns from hot water.

The incident happened in North Mackay about 10.30am this morning.

Initial reports was that she had burns to more than 18% of her body.

According to a Queensland Ambulance spokesman, the girl was taken to Mackay Base Hospital with scald burns to her chest from hot water.
