Holy hail! Thunderstorms bring plenty of rain to Coast
SEVERE thunderstorms have passed over the Sunshine Coast.
The Bureau of Meteorology said the immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.

Since 9am today up to 23mm of rain has been recorded on the Coast.
Parts of the Sunshine Coast have already been pelted with hail today.
Hail was reported in Nambour and Sippy Downs about lunch time.

It was nothing as severe as Saturday's storm which tore through Maroochydore, Alexandra Headland and Mooloolaba.
