IT'S pet-friendly, open plan, a 50m walk from Mount Coolum Golf Course and only 7km from Springfield (Ave).

This three-bedroom 'Simpsons House' at Lumeah Dr, Mount Coolum has garnered plenty of interest thanks in large to the unique photo used to market the rental property.

The owners of 33B Lumeah Dr were uncomfortable using photos of the house so The Simpsons-mad crew at Coolum Beach Realty thought why not use one of the world's most recognisable homes, throwing the house of Marge, Homer, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson up as the main image on realestate.com.au.

It's proved a master stroke.

Coolum Beach Realty property manager Shannon Blennerhassett said they'd had plenty of inquiries on the property and plenty of groups through yesterday's inspection, interested in learning a little more about the property.

"It hasn't hindered the process at all," Ms Blennerhassett said.

It's pet friendly, so there's room for Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II and the garden shed means Groundskeeper Willie will be kept happy.

Ms Blennerhassett said she couldn't take credit for the ad though, that was the idea of Stuart Cook, licensee and huge fan of The Simpsons.

With plenty of inside Simpsons jokes flying around the office, Ms Blennerhassett said it made sense to use the image on the ad.

The rental hasn't been filled yet but applications are being assessed as we speak, so get in quick or you'll be left saying "D'oh" with the property available to live in from November 18.
