Help police find Robina shooter

GOLD Coast detectives have released five images of a man wanted for questioning in relation to a shooting at Robina on Saturday.

About 1.40pm, a man and a woman were shot at Robina Town Centre.

Commissioner Bob Atkinson said the incident was "outlaw motorcycle club" related.

"We believe the male member who was shot had outlaw motorcycle club connections," Commissioner Atkinson said.

"The woman that was shot was unconnected with the male."

Police refused to release the name of the male victim, but it is widely believed to be Jacques Teamo from the Bandido motorcycle club.

Assistant Commissioner Mike Condon said in the past week there were incidents involving outlaw motorcycle gang members that would not be tolerated.

"Community safety is our priority," Asst Commissioner Condon said.

"When we see an incident as occurred yesterday (Saturday) when an innocent member of the public is hurt these criminals take that activity to a whole new level.

"We have seen good results (in the policing of motorcycle clubs) in the past and I expect to see those results to continue."

Commissioner Atkinson said the police were interviewing witnesses into the Robina shooting.

Detectives were looking for a man who had either a Pacific Islander or possibly Middle Eastern appearance.

He is about 180cm tall with a muscular build and is heavily tattooed on both arms, neck and face.

Three of the images depict a man with a black jumper and two of the images depict the same man with a white shirt.

Police are urging anyone who believes they have information into the Robina shooting, no matter how small, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
