Hearts swelled at launch

PEOPLE are already raving about this year’s Heart of Gold International Film Festival after a well-supported program launch on Thursday night.

Artistic director Malcolm Blaylock said the launch was a great night and he had some “exceptionally good” feedback.

He said fans had received a sense of the program and were excited.

“Everyone seemed very positive and happy – I hope that translates into ticket sales,” he said.

“It was a great atmosphere.”

Mr Blaylock said although he had never been to the Heart of Gold festival he had a sense of what it was like.

“The style is slightly different, but it was generally well received and people liked the presentation.”

The festival program is available in today’s paper.

Tickets are on sale now, so get them in person at 214 Mary Street, Gympie or telephone 5483 7000, or go online — visit www.heartofgold.com.au.
