Highway reopened after head-on between caravans

12.40pm: THE Capricorn Highway has reopened after a head-on collision between two vehicles towing caravans this morning.

Reports indicate the caravan that was blocking the road has been made up-right and vehicles are off the road.

11am: EMERGENCY services are attending a head-on collision between two vehicles towing caravans.

It is believed the crash is on the Capricorn Highway, 65km east of Alpha.

Reports indicate the Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Police Service have at least one crew each at the scene and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are en route.

It is believed one caravan is blocking the road and all persons are out of vehicles.
