TWEED modelling sensation Samantha Harris will make history as the second Aboriginal woman ever to grace the cover of Vogue Australia magazine next week.

The former Banora Point teenager said the fashion magazine cover will be the biggest thing to happen to her career so far.

“I’m really excited for this, I’m not even sure what the final copy is going to look like,” the 19-year-old said.

She will be wearing a yellow Pucci gown in the May edition.

“It will be a big boost for my career,” she said.

“It’s the biggest thing to happen to me. I can’t wait for it to come out.”

The former Tweed River High School student will see the cover for the first time at a Sydney Fashion Week party being hosted by Vogue Australia on Monday night.

She made her debut for the fashion magazine wearing Italian brand Miu Miu in the March edition.

“At the time I was just so excited to be in the magazine, I can’t believe they’ve put me on the cover so fast,” Miss Harris said.

Miss Harris said she will look into furthering her career in America, with a move to New York later this year.

Now living in Sydney, Miss Harris said she would love to revisit the Tweed in July for her 20th birthday celebrations.
