Handball comp stirs interest
GYMPIE AFL is gearing up for another big year of the successful Cool Cats junior AFL competition and club spokesperson Rob Kelly wants more kids to get involved.
To get the message out there, a handball competition is being held at Centro tomorrow.
“We’re holding a handball competition between 10am and 2pm, and it should be a lot of fun,” he said.
“We want kids to turn up and have a go and collect some information packs about the game and the Cool Cats competition.”
Representatives from the Sunshine Coast Auskick program will also be on hand to answer questions and help out while prizes are also up for grabs.
Players can sign up for the competition on February 4 between 4pm and 6pm at the Six Mile Oval. Brisbane Lions players will also be in attendance.
