TODAY promises to be another great day on the green after an exciting week.

Sunday we will visit Cooloola Coast with the hope to bring back the shield.

If the numbers already on the board are any indication we will be in with a chance.

Saturday, May 6 at 9am the triples teams, Owen Raines and Bevan Douglas will go head to head.

Then at 1pm Owen and his partner will come up against Cameron Oster and his partner in the pairs championship.

There was a good turnout for the Hens v the Roosters clash on Anzac Day.

The Roosters were clear winners by scoring 260 points and the Hens on 137, best score was Roger Ingram and Peter Smith with + 30 the runners-up were Chris Diprose and John Allen with + 25

Results; Patrons Singles, Fred Gruber +10 played Bevan Douglas +5 with a result of 25-24 to Fred Gruber.

Pairs; Graham Thomson and Roger Ingram V John Allen and Fred Gruber, with the score at 18 all on the last end and John and Fred holding three shots Roger came in with his last bowl and took the shot.

Saturday Century 21 Pairs.

The light drizzle of rain in the morning did not dampen our spirits and we played through it. After a good lunch provided by the ladies we went out and played the afternoon games in clear weather.

Winners of the pool rounds were J Maher/R Ramsay, M Jabore/B Mitchell Jrn, K Dunne/R McShane, M Christensen/V O'Connor.

After a lovely rib fillet barbecue dinner cooked by the staff of Century 21, the round winners did battle.

Julian/Rob beat Kerry/Ray, with Mark/Bill beating Meryl/Vonnie.

The final was a hard fought game with Bill/Mark winning the day.

ON SUNDAY last, the club hosted a welcome visit from QRI and in very pleasant weather, an enjoyable day was had by all.

Runners up were; R. Thompson, K. Herbert and Tracy.

SUBURBS had 19 players on Monday afternoon. High score went to Phyllis 55, Hester 53, Charlie 54, Jack 46.

Association social last Saturday John, Orgy, Bonnie were first. Second was Cliff, Charlie, Lexi third Gail, Jeanette, Marilyn and Gloria. Audrey won the raffle.

Association social this Saturday five-game day on May 7 with a 9.30 start. BYO lunch and goodies for the Tombola prizes.

Ladies and gents singles May 12 with a noon start.

We all hope Joyce Parsons gets well soon after her fall. Remember everybody is welcome to come along Monday afternoon for a game of bowls.
