FORMER Gympie touch footballer Sarah Spacie will join the Australian Women's team in the 2013 Super Trans-Tasman Series against New Zealand in Auckland this month.

Spacie will be part of a youthful Australian squad to take on New Zealand in a three Test series in Auckland next week.

The Australian side is in transition, with five players in the squad having made fewer than 10 Test appearances.

Vice-captain Peta Rogerson said while the side was inexperienced, it was playing a fast, exciting brand of football and she was confident of coming away with three wins.

"There is a lot of speed and enthusiasm in the squad," she said.

"But at the same time we're probably lacking experience.

"We can definitely overcome that."
