FEEL like lending a hand for a good cause?

Gympie Muster organisers said yesterday there was still a small number of opportunities for community organisations to become involved in this year’s Optus National Music Muster to be held at the end of August.

The Muster has been the source of valuable fund raising opportunities for more than 50 community organisations for many years.

The number of groups involved continues to grow.

Last year the combined funds raised by these organisations was well in excess of $400,000.

Gympie Apex Club’s Muster chairman Carl Green said the club was offering one or more groups the catering rights to one large venue and there were possible smaller jobs available for other groups.

“It has been the club’s policy to ensuring community organisations have first offer at all fundraising opportunities possible before offering the jobs to private enterprise,” Mr Green said.

Groups interested should contact the Muster office during business hours on 5482 2099.
