Festival brings best mates together

THE Gympie Music Muster is not just about music for friends Basil Beck and Angela Dalgleish.

Meeting at the Muster five years ago, Ms Dalgleish’s first time, the pair became “besties” and have camped together every Muster since.

Ms Beck, who has been to 18 Musters, also got engaged at the music festival two years ago.

It was organised by Ms Dalgleish and she kept it a secret until her beau Wayne Rand was pulled on stage at the grove by Canadian singer Danny Mack.

He got down on one knee and proposed.

“All my friends were in the crowd, it brought a tear on,” Ms Beck said.

But she was not the only one to find love at the Muster. Ms Dalgleish’s partner Percy Linwood was a friend of Ms Beck’s before the couple met.
