Gunalda Campdraft action

DUST hung in the air at the weekend during the 2010 Gunalda Campdraft and event spokeswoman Kerrie Anderson couldn’t have been more pleased with its success.

“What an amazing weekend,” she said. “We had full nominations and everyone had a great time.”

Competitors from around the region filled the Gunalda campdrafting grounds, and local entrants were among the winners.

Aleesha Bright, Jayden Anderson and Jessica Friske represented Gunalda with distinction in the junior class, showing the area has a glowing future in the sport.

Kerrie Anderson thanked everyone who was involved in making the competition a success.

“This event has been running for over 30 years and this was the fourth event back since a small break a number of years ago,” she said.

“So many volunteers put their hands up to donate their time and skills. We are so thankful.

“A massive thank you to everyone who helped and the entire committee of Gunalda Campdrafting.”
