Gunabul club helps out Legacy charity

GUNABUL Social Golf Club is planning a charity day to help Legacy on April 26.

The club is holding a four person Ambrose and is hoping to raise over $2000 for the charity the Monday after ANZAC day.

Club spokesperson Bill Nolan said the Par 3 social club had great support from local business houses.

“We have all 18 holes sponsored and a great array of prizes to be won,” Nolan said.

“Four person Ambrose is a great golf format. It suits both good and novice golfers.

He said there were not just prizes for the best golfers, but pin shot prizes for both ladies and gents.

There were also prizes for the best dressed golfers as well as random prize draws during the day.

“We hope to raise over $2000 for Legacy and are hoping for more teams to come on board,” Nolan said.

There are currently 28 teams registered but Nolan said he would like to see around 36 teams enter the competition.

Cost for the day is $20 a person or $80 a team which includes golf, sausage sizzle and nibbles, all donated by the Gunabul Golf Social Club.

If anyone is interested in playing in the four person Ambrose event at the Gunabul Par 3 golf course and at the same time helping out a great charity they can call Bill Nolan on 0417 190 664 or Brad Richards on 0438 261 066 to book a spot.
